The 2011 St. Croix Ironman 70.3 remains one of the very few 70.3 distance races where qualifying slots are available for both the Ironman World Championships (Kona) and the Ironman 70.3 World Championships (Clearwater). The classic St. Croix course, among the most beautiful in the sport, has 28 Kona slots up for grabs, as well as 40 Clearwater slots. The May 1 date allows athletes to enjoy a tropical respite after a long winter, as well as an early season chance to get qualified for the autumn dates of both championship races.

The St. Croix Ironman 70.3 Triathlon
is one of the premier destination triathlons in the World! It combines the beauty of
the largest of the U.S. Virgin Islands with the challenge of an unforgettable
course. The crowning feature of this race is the legendary climb on the bike course
which is appropriately named 'The Beast'. Once you've conquered The Beast, you'll
never look at a hill the same way.
In 2009, we will once again be holding a sprint
triathlon in conjunction with our long course race. The Caribbean Sprint is a shorter, tamer race as the bike
course bypasses the famous hill climb called 'The Beast'.
